Pro Patria Auctions is an international house for military orders, decorations and historic militaria — founded on a simple conviction: that collectors deserve certainty.

The house grew out of more than a decade of specialist trade. That experience began with the orders and decorations of the Soviet Union — a field that demands a careful eye for variant, hallmark and period — and has since broadened across the medals and militaria of the great nations: Imperial Germany, Britain and the Commonwealth, France, and beyond.

That depth of knowledge is the foundation of everything we do. In a market where authenticity is the collector’s first concern, every lot we offer is examined by hand and, where due, accompanied by a Pro Patria certificate of authenticity. We would rather decline an item than offer one we cannot stand behind.

We are an online-first house by design, so that a medal catalogued in our workshop can be examined — and won — by a collector on any continent. We keep our terms transparent, our photography honest, and our settlement prompt.
